On the game:
"I thought that tonight's first half was the best performance we have put together all season. Even after the first red card I still believed that we would win. After the second one though, you want to pull your hair out. No one said it would be easy. This group of guys won't ever give up. We still have many positive things to focus on as we push towards the playoffs."
On the record crowd:
"It was a big crowd. A great crowd. At times we showed them electrifying soccer. It's too bad we couldn't come away with the points we deserved. I think that the atmosphere was great and the fans will want to come back in the future."
KANSAS CITY WIZARDS FORWARD EDDIE JOHNSON
On the game:
"We went out there and put everything we had on the field. It's frustrating, but what are you going to do? Then when we are two men down it's like 'Lord be with us.' I think we worked too hard to put ourselves in that position."
On Kansas City's chances:
"We had two chances in the first half. I put one off the post, and one to the 'keeper. Then Eloy (Colombano) dribbled the 'keep and just couldn't finish. That is what makes this so much harder. We had our chances, but just didn't finish."

"I have said it since day one; we are in a results-oriented business. We are getting paid to win games, but we didn't do that tonight. I think that anyone would say that tonight's first half was the best we have played so far. Then the second half we played a little flat, but we still had our chances to win, and just came up short."

On first road win of the season:
"Our backs were really up against the wall tonight. For me, that was a team that is trying to get to the top of the division and make the playoffs, and we beat them. I thought that everyone played really well tonight. Obviously the two sending-offs didn't help Kansas City, but I think we were playing well regardless."

"It was one of the most important goals I have scored. This win keeps us in it. We need to take care of business on Sunday, but at least we took care of it tonight. We know that no one wants us to win, but we know that we are a good team. I think tonight's win really proves that."
