KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH CURT ONALFO
On the game:
"I thought it was a hard-fought game between two very good teams. It was two very solid efforts defensively from both sides. Some of our young players I was really pleased with. Roger Espinoza had an excellent game in his debut. Chance Myers got better and better as the game went along. It was unfortunate that we had to make a sub early due to an injury to [Carlos] Marinelli. That always changes things, because I would have liked to get even another attacking player in. I think there's a lot of positives to take from this game, and now we have some weeks where we can continue to improve as a group."
On Houston:
"They're hard to play against. They're very direct. They compete, they make you stay in every single play. I thought our guys did a good job of that. We had some good chances to score and we didn't, and they did as well. Overall I thought it was an evenly played game."
On Kansas City's young players:
"We've got an extremely good, young crew. We've drafted very well over the last two years and we've got to continue to develop them. Often in games like this with young players you can get burned. The fact that they found a way to stay in it and didn't have any letdowns is a real positive. We're going to continue to build on it and it's only going to get better."
KANSAS CITY WIZARDS GOALKEEPER KEVIN HARTMAN
On the upcoming road stretch:
"I guess you look at it as ambitiously as you can. When you are on the road you want to do whatever you can. We're going to go out and try to win games. It's not necessarily a league that rewards ties, so you want to get points where you can. We play with the attacking mentality that we want to go out and try to win every game. It's a big challenge on the road but it's a challenge I think we're ready for."
On the crowd:
"Our fans have been great for these first four matches at CommunityAmerica Ballpark. When you know that your fans are going to be getting on the other players and supporting you throughout the entire match, it makes coming to the stadium each day that much more fun. This venue provides a great home field advantage. I'm just glad I'm not a visiting goalie."

On returning to action:
"It feels good to be back out there and be a part of the team. After missing almost five months it's good to be a part of things again. I'm getting there. I'm still not fully fit, I'm not 90 minutes fit yet. It takes a while but I'll get there eventually."

On his first start:
"I tried, I tried. We didn't win today but it looks like we're getting confident now. It wasn't just me, I thought everybody did well. Playing the defending champions of MLS you knew it was going to be a tough game. They played a game on Wednesday like we did, so we were both tired, but we played hard."
KANSAS CITY WIZARDS DEFENDER CHANCE MYERS
On his first start:
"I was more nervous making the start than subbing in (last week). A lot of nerves kicked in playing against the two-time defending champions. I thought we played well defensively we just couldn't find the back of the net."
On the upcoming road trip:
"I think it's going to be tough. I've never been on a trip longer than a weekend road trip in college. We're going to have to come together as a team on and off the field and continue to bond."
HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR
On the game:
"I thought we probably had more chances than they did. We needed to be a little bit more clinical in front of the goal and we could have come up with a couple of goals. The effort of the guys all around was excellent. We kept on pushing for the win at the end and defended well in the second half. Sometimes you score, sometimes you can't and tonight we couldn't score."
HOUSTON DYNAMO GOALKEEPER TONY CAIG
On the game:
"We created quite a few chances tonight. We were a little bit unlucky on one or two, especially one where Kevin Hartman made a really good save. I think overall we dominated the game. We should have scored a few goals, but that's been the story of our season up to now. We've just got to keep doing what we're doing."

"No, definitely not. I think with the chances we had we should have scored. We have to do better with our chances. I had a good chance ... I just mistimed the ball and hit it wrong. You don't finish your chances and that's it."
