HOUSTON DYNAMO 4, FC DALLAS 1

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR
On accomplishing their task:

"We knew before the game that it was going to be difficult, we did know that it was going to last 180 minutes and possibly more. I think we had plenty of chances before they scored to go ahead but just couldn't finish, but we had a great attitude. I told the guys at halftime, you know, we're down two goals and we need to go out there and get after it and hopefully some luck will shine on us. Fortunately for us a Dallas player lost his head and made it 11 on 10 and we knew we had to go for it right then. The guys kept their heads well because we had a long game and we got fouled a lot."
HOUSTON DYNAMO DEFENDER EDDIE ROBINSON
On the game:

"Of course, I mean every game against Dallas is like that, you know? And I think there were some missed calls and they were maybe a little bit quick with the yellow cards on the evening which I think contributed to it but I think we knew that was the way it was going to be. But I think that even without the red card we were putting it on them, you know. It was the same thing as last week where we were having some trouble putting the ball in the goal for some reason. But then in the second half and in overtime things just started going our way. That's kind of how our season has been. It has been a rollercoaster. We've gotten our chances and sometimes we didn't finish and sometimes we did. And we went through our last two or three games with only one goal and then tonight we exploded for four. So I think we're back on the top of that wave."
On what was said during halftime:

"Coach came in and said 'there's nothing I can say'. I mean, it was just like last week, in the first 90 minutes of the game they had one shot and one goal. And you look at the quality of their attacking play and it was the same as last game where we held them to one shot on goal."
HOUSTON DYNAMO FORWARD BRIAN CHING
On the team's attitude:

"I think that's our trademark, we fight for each other and we never give up. You saw it tonight, you saw it last year in the playoffs and you're going to keep seeing it from us."
On who we want to face next round:

"I think we want to play against Kansas City so we can play at home. The crowd that we played in front of tonight was unbelievable and it was probably the best atmosphere I've ever played in in the MLS. We'd like to play at home, but then again it doesn't really matter who we play because we're going to come out and play hard and try to get to the finals."
FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW
On the game:

"I'm extremely disappointed for the players. It's a very tough way to go out. Everything seemed to go against us today, right from losing Clarence Goodson just before the game and losing Dario [Sala] early in the game, getting [Alvarez] sent off and losing Adrian Serioux as well. Our gameplan worked right up until we had [Alvarez] sent off. We tried to get an early goal, but I think going down to 10 men we still had a chance to win the game."
FC DALLAS GOALKEEPER RAY BURSE
On the game:
"I'm very, very proud of the players' effort -- they fought very hard, but it wasn't enough. It's not even about years previous, it's just tonight ... very hard. Everyone put in 110 percent, things just didn't go our way. It's really frustrating. We've dealt with injuries all season, we've been able to cope with it and move on when we have to deal with adversity. I think we dealt with it fine. Those things happen in a game. We're a team -- we'll take it all together, and move on from it."
