FC DALLAS 3, COLUMBUS CREW 1

COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On the game:

"We had a lot of chances in the first half. We were unfortunate not to be up by more than one at halftime. Ray Burse made some saves. They got fortunate, I think, on a couple as well. If you outshoot a team like we outshot them in the first half, you have to bear a few more goals, but we were playing well. I thought that we played good soccer for the majority of the evening. Right at the start of the second half they got a decent goal. Hesmer couldn't really see it on the angle. After that I thought that we dominated the game."

On the gameplan:

"We talked about being tactically disciplined and playing the game the way we wanted to do it, and I think that we did a good job of that. I thought Robbie Rogers added a lot of life to our game and was very important in our attacking. We wanted to make sure that our midfielders did a better job at holding them in the midfield, which is what I thought we did in the first half. We stayed tactically disciplined. We did what we wanted to do. We didn't give them much."

COLUMBUS CREW MIDFIELDER EDDIE GAVEN

On struggling to finish their chances:
"We created a lot of chances in the first half and it would've been nice to finish more than one, but we were still winning 1-0 at halftime and feeling pretty good going into the second half. Unfortunately, we gave up three goals."

On the Crew's ability to set up a lot of chances:
"We actually played pretty good soccer at times. We were able to create just as many or more chances than we have in a single game all year; that's what it felt like, anyway. We were only able to finish one and we gave up three, so it doesn't matter how many chances you create if you lose. We've got to find a way to get wins in these last two games, and keep looking forward."

COLUMBUS CREW MIDFIELDER ROBBIE ROGERS

On the team's play as a whole:
"This was one of the most frustrating games I've played in. We had our chances, we blew those chances away. I take some blame for that. I think I should have finished that breakaway; it maybe would have changed the game. Besides that, we had so many chances and it's kind of been the story of the season -- not finishing chances and letting the other team stay in the game."

FC DALLAS HEAD COACH STEVE MORROW

On Dallas' first win ever at Crew Stadium:
"We haven't won here before, so that is another first for us this year. We have been through a tough stretch recently, so the guys showed a lot of character tonight to come from behind and get the victory."

On the play of forward Abe Thompson:
"Abe Thompson scored two very good goals. Every time he plays for us, we know what we are going to get. He's very professional. He works very, very hard. He's a very, very good finisher as well."

FC DALLAS MIDFIELDER JUAN TOJA

On the Dallas' resiliency in the game:
"We really wanted to win this game, especially after losing the last couple games and the [Western] Conference. It's been difficult for us. At halftime though, we really talked about playing hard and keeping the ball and in the second half we did that. We played like a team, we played hard and we won."

FC DALLAS GOALKEEPER RAY BURSE

On his early saves:
"That first save when Gaven tried to catch me cheating near post really got me into the game. It really got me going and it propelled me throughout the game. When you get a touch on the ball early on in the game you just feel confident and things go from there."

On Columbus' many early shots:
"The whole team picked it up a little bit and at times like that, you just got to hope you play out of it. We definitely wanted to get out of here with a clean sheet in that situation, but after the one goal, we didn't want to concede any more than that and it worked out."
