On the game:
"Overall thoughts, I'm pleased with the result, it's been a long time coming. The team performed exceptional today; great work rate, difficult conditions, had a lot of chances to score, but kept on plugging away, did great defensively. I'm very pleased."
On FC Dallas' defensive effort:
"I think the boys did a tremendous job defensively. We kept Blanco at bay which was important for us. Obviously in the second half with a one-goal lead we still need to push it but we were able to keep possession which is what really killed off the game."
On the FC Dallas attack:
"There were a lot of great opportunities which were created by hard work, intelligent runs, good timing and great passes that came out of the midfield and backline as well."

On the game:
"We gave up an early goal, and a bad goal. I think it was just a little too easy. I think after that, given the conditions, it made it hard, because whoever got that first goal was going to sit and look for the counter."
On the Fire's play in the second half:
"To our credit, in the second half we had a better idea as far as pushing, getting the ball on the ground, creating a couple of chance. But you know, we just weren't clinical in the final third and we gave up some chances, which is going to happen when we're trying to get the equalizer."
