Quotes: Dynamo 4, Red Bulls 0

HOUSTON DYNAMO 4, NEW YORK RED BULLS 0

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On the game:
"Excellent. I think we won pretty convincingly, and I thought we played well on and off the ball. We attacked with some of the best stuff we've had all year."

On Patrick Ianni vs. Juan Pablo Angel:
"He did a good job. We just told him to stay close, be physical with him. His best moves are when he's in the box. We told him to just always be aware of where he was. Pat [Ianni] had a good game tonight."

On Nate Jaqua:
"He's good. He showed you what he can do tonight. First thing he does when he gets on the field -- he holds the ball up, and we got a goal out of it. It was a great strike by Stuart Holden. He played 15 minutes, and it was in that time that he came on and played. We're happy to have him here."

On going into five games in an 11-day period:
"You have to make sure that guys get rest so we won't have a lot of training. There'll be minutes shared. Our squad is a bit thin right now. We've got some injuries right now, but that's how it goes. You have to take it one game at a time, one minute at a time."

HOUSTON DYNAMO FORWARD JOSEPH NGWENYA

On the unbeaten streak:
"It's great. Hopefully we can keep it going on Saturday. It's good to get three points. Everybody stepped up tonight."

On beating the Red Bulls after falling to them earlier in the season:
"They beat us over at their place, and it's good to get a win against them here at home. Everybody is happy."

On going into five games in an 11-day period:
"Hopefully everybody can just stay healthy on and off the field. It's going to be a tough one."

HOUSTON DYNAMO FORWARD NATE JAQUA

On recording an assist in his first appearance for Dynamo:
"I was just excited to get out there. It was a great game tonight. The team played great. To be a part of that -- even if it was only for 10 minutes -- was great. Hopefully I can help this team."

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER STUART HOLDEN

On the game/filling in for Brad Davis:
"Brad is a big part of our team. We're obviously missing him. People are going to get called to step up. I offered a couple set pieces in tonight, and Joe [Ngwenya] got some great headers. Helping out with a goal is icing in the cake since we're already up three-nil. It was just a convincing result for us."

On going into five games in an 11-day period:
"We've just got to get our rest, keep icing, keep training hard, keep our fitness up, and we obviously have to be smart with a lot of games in few days. Minutes are going to get around, so everyone is going to have to be prepared. I think [Dominic Kinnear] and [assistant soach John Spencer] do a good job at getting us prepared for all those games."

HOUSTON DYNAMO FORWARD BIRAN CHING

On the game:
"It's been good for us. I think we were a little frustrated with our tie last weekend. We wanted to come out and start this month the way we started last month.

On beating New York after falling to them earlier in the season:
"The loss in the beginning of the season is still fresh in our minds. We came out with something to prove tonight, and we did that. The team came out and battled hard, and we finished with a good win."

HOUSTON DYNAMO DEFENDER PATRICK IANNI

On defending against Juan Pablo Angel:
"It's a privilege to play alongside the guys on my team, first of all. The veterans and starters on our team make up the best squad in the league. Playing against Juan Pablo Angel is a privilege as well. I was just making sure that I was concentrating every second of the game. Even when he left they had Clint Mathis coming into the game.

On Stuart Holden filling in for the injured Brad Davis:
"It was a real breakout game for Stuart [Holden]. I'm really happy for him. I think we all knew he was capable of having a game like this. It was just a matter of time of getting into a rhythm with the starting lineup. Dom [Kinnear] has given him that, and he's taken advantage of it. I'm proud of him. I'm happy for him. I think he'll continue to come out and surprise people.

On going into five games in an 11-day period:
"I'm just going to rest, stay off my feet as much as possible, ice pack, a lot of stretching, and a lot of sleep here in the next week and a half. It'll be exciting for us. I think we'll be looking forward to them.

NEW YORK RED BULLS HEAD COACH BRUCE ARENA

On his team's first half play:
"I think we were a little unfortunate in the first half. I thought we started the game off well. I think there were a couple of calls in the first half that impacted the score line. But having said that, we came out in the second half and were soundly beaten. In the first half, I don't think that was the case. We were a little unfortunate. A call or two didn't go our way. The way we responded and came out of the locker room in the second half was very poor."

On substituting Juan Pablo Angel in the second half:
"At 3-0, I was pretty much aware of the fact that it's not likely we're going to score four goals and win this game. I thought it was important to get Angel off of the field and have him ready for Sunday."

On how his team will move forward:
"You go from here, and you've got to learn from it and move forward. You can't dwell on this game. If we dwell on this game a whole lot, we're not going to win another game this year."

On his team's preparation:
"I think those competitions are not competitions you haphazardly go in to. You're either prepared to go in there with all your ammunition, or you don't go. So I think there's a lesson to be learned."

On what he'll take from the game:
"I think you have to study, because we have too many players who played poorly, and that has to be accounted for. You can't ignore some of the performances on the field tonight. You can't just throw it away. As I said, you have to learn from it and then move on."

NEW YORK RED BULLS MIDFIELDER CLAUDIO REYNA

On the game:
"I mean, we're disappointed because we came out good. We came to the game very well away from home. You can break down the game quite easily from set pieces -- they scored on three set pieces. When you're two or three down away from home, it's a big mountain to climb. It's as simple as that."

On how his team played:
"Overall, especially in the first half, the scoreboard didn't show it, but I think we played really well. I think they had two chances and two goals on set pieces. That's pretty annoying because you can work on them all week in training, and then in the games we don't execute and mark guys, and there was a bit of a possibility of a foul. But those things decide games, and today, they clearly decided the game."

On trying to overcome the deficit:
"When you have to come back from two goals down, the fatigue and the heat took a lot out of us. When you're up by a couple of goals, you get confident. They got confident, and once they got the third goal, again on a set piece, the game was essentially over."
