COLUMBUS CREW 2, TORONTO FC 1

TORONTO FC HEAD COACH MO JOHNSTON

On the game:

"I felt today we were naïve. We got the goal, we should have been certain. You know we had two clear chances after that we should have taken them. I came in at halftime and I said I'm worried about this game because it wasn't going our way. We didn't put our chances away and that was the difference."

On the remaining five games:

"Listen, they're playing for that jersey, each and every single one of them. I mean you're never out of it 'til you're out of it (playoffs) but it's very hard, obviously it's an uphill battle and now we've got to go to D.C. They're a very good team, and that one will be a hard battle."

TORONTO FC FORWARD JEFF CUNNINGHAM

On how he feels:

"Basically I need to get better, I feel disappointed by the chances that I got tonight and that cost us the game I think. The one-on-one chance I was rusty, not comfortable in front of the goal -- probably if I had a few more games, maybe (I) would have done better. But there's no excuses, man, I don't care -- you've got to do better with the breakaway."

TORONTO FC MIDFIELDER CARL ROBINSON

On the game:

"We should have been more ahead than we were at 1-nil. The easy chances we missed, we had hoped to be in at halftime maybe up 2- or 3-nil up. We didn't take our chances to come out as good as we were in the first half -- I thought we were flat in the second. You could see it building -- you could see it happening 10 minutes before they scored, you know unless we get a hold of the game they might nick one in and that's exactly what happened."

COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On the game:

"We think we've been unlucky in our last couple of games, we've played all right and not gotten a result and we really mismanaged some games in the end. So today we had a good opportunity -- we had talked about maybe giving Toronto a goal so maybe that monkey's off their back and we sort of did that really, really early. I told them they could do that after we were up 3- or 4-nothing, but they did it the other way around, but obviously I'm really proud of our team today."

COLUMBUS CREW FORWARD JASON GAREY

On the game:

"We've been working really hard the last couple of games, working on switching the point of attack and getting crosses in and we got a good early cross in from the right side and Eddie Gaven collected it and I just tried to find some space in the box and play it across and the goalie came out and I just kind of slid it under him."

COLUMBUS CREW MIDFIELDER JACOB THOMAS

On the win:

"Good win man, that's all I can say -- for us it's important. We need three points to basically put some pressure on Chicago and Colorado, so you know the win was good for us, good for the team. We've had a lot of ties, where we go down last minute, so this right here was a very positive note."
