MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER QUOTE SHEET
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2007 - CHIVAS USA 0, HOUSTON DYNAMO 0

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH PREKI

On the game:

"It was a difficult, hard played game. From the first moment I felt that my players were disciplined, organized. We had a game plan and we executed pretty well. I'm extremely happy for the way my team played. They fought for eachother, they never quit and at the end got the result we needed."

On the incident with Dominic Kinnear at the end of the game:

"It was something that it's going to stay between us. There is no reason to talk about that. We talked afterwards in the tunnel. I have a great respect for Dominic, since he was in San Jose. There is not hard feeling, we're grown men and we move on."

CHIVAS USA GOALKEEPER BRAD GUZAN

On the referee's decisions:

"That means absolutely nothing right now, because it feels so good, it was such a team effort tonight, to hang out there, we were down a man for an entire 45 minute period, we fought through everything, some bad calls, some good calls, but it feels awesome, right now."

On his knee:

"When I landed, I went to the ground kind of awkward, a little bit of an extension, but nothing too bad."

CHIVAS USA DEFENDER LAWSON VAUGHN

On where he watched the rest of the game:

"Inside the locker room. When the guys came at the end of the first half, they were down, pretty sad about the play, because we really wanted to win. I wanted to do everything I could to help this team, and they told me they will do everything not to lose this game."

HOUSTON DYNAMO HEAD COACH DOMINIC KINNEAR

On the game:

"We were rushed at times. We had some chances to score and rushed our finishes a little bit but it's OK. We had great achievements this year with the scoreless streak and no shutouts this year for the Houston Dynamo. We are the team with the most road wins and the lowest goals against average in the MLS. That's a good thing. I think defensively we've been excellent all year. It's the quarter playoffs now.

On the result:

"We are happy we are in the playoffs. It would have been nice to be in the top spot, not because of who we are playing but we wanted to finish top in our conference. We didn't get that tonight. Congratulations to Chivas USA, they defended very well tonight. We are looking forward to next week. It's going to be very difficult."

On FC Dallas:

"Dallas is a good opponent, a good team and dangerous. We have some spice because of our location. Between the two teams, it's going to be a difficult series. They have a lot of attacking players, we have to be on our game to be able to come through. It's going to be difficult. When you get to this part of the season, you have to play a good team and that happens to be FC Dallas."

HOUSTON DYNAMO FORWARD BRIAN CHING

On the one man advantage:

"It's extremely disappointing especially when they finish a game with 10 men. I blame myself. I had a couple of chances. I should have put it away, call it rust or call it what you want but I should have done better. Now we pick our heads up and off to Dallas."

On FC Dallas:

"It's going to be a battle. Every game we have with FC Dallas it's a battle. If you throw in the playoffs here, it's going to be more of a battle. But I am hoping that the traveling support will come and outnumber their fans again."

HOUSTON DYNAMO MIDFIELDER RICHARD MULROONEY

On the game:

"We tried to play the right ball and do the right passes going into playoffs. We have the right formation and the formula. It's just a matter of getting it done. I am not nervous about not having our team show up, because we've showed up for 30 plus this year."
