Quotes: CHI 2, N.Y. 2

CHICAGO FIRE 3, NEW YORK RED BULLS 2

CHICAGO FIRE HEAD COACH JUAN CARLOS OSORIO

On the goals, both scored and allowed:
"Hopefully we will be more accurate. ... We had four clear chances. The first one was in the seventh minute before they scored. If we would have put that in, I think it would have been a very different game. They had one chance in the first half, if you want to call the one that they scored as a chance, which I think is debatable. We can't concede any goals from a set piece, so I was a little disappointed."

On the game:
"In general, I think the players showed great character and mental strength to play with one man down and manage to come back to 2-2. I think there was some general good play, especially with Chris [Rolfe] and Cuauhtémoc [Blanco] in the middle, I think we kept the ball better and I'm pleased. Obviously we needed to win, but I will take that point and hopefully we'll keep improving and next game we will be more clinical in our final third."

CHICAGO FIRE DEFENDER GONZALO SEGARES

On the game:
"The last couple of games against New York they were being really physical. We knew today wasn't an exception. We came out, we needed three points and [New York] knew that we're behind them [in points] making a push. I think we're not really happy with a tie, but at the same time it was a tough game at which we were one man down and a goal down and we still got a point. We happy with that, but not completely happy, but it's better than not having any thing at all."

On his goal:
"I noticed that a couple times I went out and I didn't have a mark. Cuauhtémoc [Blanco] crossed a pretty good ball and I happened to be in the right place at the right time and I took advantage of it."

NEW YORK RED BULLS HEAD COACH BRUCE ARENA

On the result:
"I would have liked obviously the three points. I'm disappointed we didn't get the three points. We didn't do a good job I think after getting the second goal, and obviously that lapse in concentration costs us some important points. To get this point on the road tonight from the team that really is chasing us is important. The result is good for us; probably not as good as for Chicago, but you know I think it's important for us to have the right kind of mentality at this time of year to be able to go on the road in a tough place and get a point and be in a position to have three."

NEW YORK RED BULLS DEFENDER DAVE VAN DEN BERGH

On his goal:
"On the corner, I had a feeling that they were going to clear that long or that it wasn't going to touch anybody and I just took a chance that it was going to get there, and fortunately for me, it did. I hit it low and because the field was a little slick, it just bounced straight through everybody and the guy near the goal line couldn't get it out anymore, so that was good."
