Quote sheet: COL 3, LA 0

COLORADO RAPIDS 3, LOS ANGELES GALAXY 0

COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH FERNANDO CLAVIJO:

On the game:

"To be honest, having LA come out and play against us with a depleted team, was one of the most challenging things we've faced all year. We did not know what to expect, or how to look at this. The most important thing for them right now is to win SuperLiga, and I respect that. It is tough when you play a team who is playing on a lower level because we often lower ourselves to that level, but that did not happen tonight."

On scoring goals:

"I said all along, the goals come in bunches. We struggled through the middle of the season but Petke, Clark and Casey all scored for us, and it's the right moment to do it. We have said all along, that we go through moments bad and good. Right now it's a good moment and we are playing good soccer. It was important that we came out the second half and kept the pressure. They didn't look to go forward very often."

On Conor Casey:

"The last two games, Conor Casey has been good. Last game we weren't able to see his name on the score sheet but tonight we did. Conor and I had a conversation about two or three weeks ago and I challenged him, and challenged all the players. There's a reason why the players are here, we believe in them."

COLORADO RAPIDS FORWARD CONOR CASEY:

On his game:

"I was hurt for about six weeks and now I've been back for about three and I just wanted to see the results as soon as possible. I was able to help out the last two games and I was pleased with the results, I think we all are. There are still a lot of games left though."

COLORADO RAPIDS GOALKEEPER BOUNA COUNDOUL:

On the win:

"Right now the confidence is up to the sky. We beat the top two teams, Houston and New England and then we just destroyed LA. Everybody is going to start playing a little more attention to us now. Everyone on the team is happy, and we are having fun and you can tell. We all have to look at the way we've been playing. We need to have pride, and people are paying money to come watch us. New stadium, nice facilities and the fans are expecting wins from us."

On the shutout:

"As a goalkeeper, I have to stay focused even in a game like this. You need to be focused for the whole 90 minutes because one mistake in the 30th minute or the 40th minute can make a huge difference in the momentum and the result in a game."

COLORADO RAPIDS DEFENDER MIKE PETKE:

On the game:

"I couldn't care less about who was out on the field tonight. For us, it was a chance to get three wins in a row and tie for the last playoff spot. You could have put in any player and we would have come out the same way; the results may have been different, but we would have played the same. It's all about how we play. I have been around enough to know when a game is important, and this was one of them. There is no tomorrow right now. We have to look at every game as a championship caliber game, and we need to get a result in every game. If we don't, we are just going to bury ourselves."

LA GALAXY HEAD COACH FRANK YALLOP:

On the game:

"Obviously we were disappointed with the result. It would have been difficult for us to come away from this game with a win. It's tough right now."

LA GALAXY MIDFIELDER JOSH TUDELA:

On his MLS debut:

"It's a great experience to be able to come out here and play in front of all these fans. We would have liked a better result, but next time we'll look for a better performance. We were just a little unfortunate, they got a couple of lucky goals and that's just the way the game goes some times."

LA GALAXY MIDFIELDER KYLE MARTINO:

On the game:

"We are very disappointed. We could make a bunch of excuses and say it was travel, or look at the guys who weren't here, or the games we've played lately but we are always disappointed when we lose. There were a lot of guys who showed some character and determination when we were down at half 3-0. They came out and still created some chances and I commend these guys for that."
