COLUMBUS CREW 4, CHIVAS USA 3

COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On the game:
"We are finding a way to win, which is important. We want to win at home, which is good. We scored goals. The rest will get better."

On the win:

"Anytime you win, it is a morale booster. It was certainly a big thing that we came back and scored the goal. I'm very pleased with how well we did. I'm proud of our team. I'm proud of how we came back. We, being able to come back and get that second goal showed a lot of character. Coming back at 3-3 to score the game winner showed a lot of character."

On his team's play in the first half:

"I thought that we did a good job defensively. I thought that we did a good job closing things down, making them play predictable passes, which I thought we did really well. I was pleased with how we played in the first half."

COLUMBUS CREW MIDFIELDER ROBBIE ROGERS

On his two goals:

"On the first goal, the ball kind of popped up to Guillermo [Barros Schelotto] and I knew I should just make a run behind because he always finds me behind the defense. I took a decent first touch, and I think my first touch made Brad [Guzan] think that I was going to the far post, so he was kind of cheating to the far post and I just placed it in the near post. On my second goal, it was pretty lucky, I think. The defender overjudged it, it came to my chest and I just thought 'Why not?,' with the way tonight was going. I think Brad just misjudged it and I was just happy to get the game-winner."

COLUMBUS CREW MIDFIELDER GUILLERMO BARROS SCHELOTTO

On his two assists:

"It's something I look for, to find Robbie in behind the defenders, making those runs and the important thing is that he was calm, and he put the ball into the back of the net. We're happy about the victory and, beyond whatever I did individually, I'm just happy the team got three points tonight."

On his penalty kick:

"Obviously, I just wanted to make sure that I scored instead of trying to get cute with it and go either way. I just tried to strike it hard and the goalkeeper went the wrong way."

COLUMBUS CREW FORWARD ALEJANDRO MORENO

On the performance of Guillermo Barros Schelotto:

"It's great fun when he's up for the game, and he knows that. We depend a lot on what he does and when's going from the get-go, it makes things a lot easier for all of us because he can find the passes that not many people in this league can find."

CHIVAS USA HEAD COACH PREKI

On the game:

"We came out and played pretty decent in the first 25 minutes. We had a couple opportunities to score our first goal, didn't score, and next thing you know we gave up a bad goal. After that, I thought we picked it up and scored a really good goal. And then, in the midst of all that, we manage to make a second mistake in the half, we got punished, and went into halftime losing 2-1. Three times we were down and we managed to fight back."

CHIVAS USA GOALKEEPER BRAD GUZAN

On the game:

"Obviously, the result didn't go our way. I put the blame on my shoulders. I let the team down tonight. I couldn't come up with a save when we needed it. I let the guys down, but at the same time, I think we still need to get better as a whole. We were given chances to tie the game, to win the game, and when we needed a save, I couldn't make it and I let the guys down, but we put it behind us, and we move forward and we learn from it and we get better."

CHIVAS USA DEFENDER JIM CURTIN
On the game:

"It's a real disappointing game, especially from a defensive standpoint. I thought Preki had us prepared, especially defensively, all week and we let him down, we didn't do a good job on their key guys, which we talked about were [Robbie] Rogers and [Guillermo Barros] Schelotto. Those guys had too easy of a night and it's disappointing too because we did show a lot of heart and fought back and got it to 3-3 and we would have liked to get out of here with 3-3 and be happy and sort things out, but it's real disappointing to give up that last goal -- it's tough."
