Under clear skies but heavy winds, the Los Angeles Galaxy held a light workout on Wednesday, one day before the club plays their third preseason game of the year against the New England Revolution, a game that will be broadcast live on www.revolutionsoccer.net. This will be the first preseason game of the year against MLS opposition for Frank Yallop's squad and the first of two games that the Galaxy will play in Bermuda. On Friday afternoon, L.A. will take on the Bermudan National Team, with both games being played at the National Sports Complex.

Following an extensive warm-up, Yallop put the team through a series of drills before splitting the players into two teams, one made up of veterans and the other consisting of rookies and newcomers for two short inter-squad scrimmages.

Enjoying Some Time Off
It has not been all work for the Galaxy, as they enjoyed an afternoon off on the beautiful island of Bermuda. Forward Landon Donovan and goalkeeper Joe Cannon could not resist the beautiful golf course that the hotel overlooks, so after another delicious Bermudan lunch, the duo hit the links for a quick nine holes.

Midfielders Cobi Jones and Pete Vagenas, as well as head coach Frank Yallop and his assistant Paul Bravo, decided to spend their afternoon in a local pub watching new Galaxy signing David Beckham play a Champions League game, with his current club Real Madrid. The quartet was sure to have left the establishment pleased after witnessing a five-star performance from Beckham. The future Galaxy midfielder notched two assists and helped set up a third goal for his team as Real defeated Bayern Munich 3-2 in a Champions League Round of 16 first leg match at the Bernabeu in Madrid, Spain.

The rest of the team spent their afternoon exploring local beaches and bouncing around the Fairmont Southampton Hotel, which is serving as the Galaxy's base camp. As the afternoon turned to night, all of the players and coaches made their way back to the hotel and settled in for the evening's team dinner and began preparations for Thursday night's game.
