Pinto willing to settle for draw with Brazil

Colombia coach Jorge Luis Pinto says he'd be happy if his squad could manage a draw with the Brazilian side.

BOGOTA - Colombia coach Jorge Luis Pinto wants a win but will be satisfied if his team can hold Brazil to a draw in their first World Cup qualifying game on Sunday in Bogota.

The Cafeteros are trying to make it to South Africa 2010, which would be their first appearance at a World Cup since France 98.

Pinto, speaking on the eve of the match, said: "Our mentality is to look for a good result, but the best of all? A triumph.

"But I have to speak with frankness: a tie is not the best, but it is good.

"Colombia are going to fight for a victory as we need to ensure points and to obtain three against Brazil would be very important."

If Brazil start Real Madrid striker Robinho, Pinto claims it will not impact his tactics.

"The diagram is not going to change no matter if Elano, Robinho or Vagner Love plays," Pinto said.

"Sure, we have to be careful of different aspects according to the striker we face, but the diagram will be the same."

The Colombian coach is more concerned about the fitness of his striker, Radamel Falcao, who did not join the team in his best condition.

"We talked with the doctor and he will confirm to us tomorrow (Sunday) if Falcao is 100% ready to play. Otherwise, I will field Edixon Perea."
