Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Pat Onstad returns to the Houston lineup Sunday vs. Columbus after serving his one-game suspension after being red-carded last weekend against FC Dallas.
Onstad missed Dynamo's 2-1 win Thursday night against the Colorado Rapids, but he wasn't idle. Onstad was in goal Wednesday for the Canadian national team in CONCACAF Gold Cup play against Costa Rica. Team Canada won 2-1 with Onstad in goal in place of the injured Greg Sutton.
"It was nice to play again for Team Canada," said Onstad. "The last time I played (2004) was against Costa Rica as well, I was able to get some revenge against a pretty good team. I never officially retired from the national team and it was a good experience. Hopefully they were pleased with my performance."
