COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Crew announced today that it will take on United Soccer League Second Division club the Cincinnati Kings in the Ninth Annual Keith Evans Memorial Match on Tuesday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at The Crew's training facility in Obetz.
The Keith Evans Memorial Match is played in memory of the former Columbus police officer killed in the line of duty on July 3, 1995. All proceeds from donations taken at the gate ($2 per person is requested) will go toward the Keith Evans Memorial Fund.
"The Keith Evans Memorial match is a very special event for The Crew," said Crew General Manager Mark McCullers. "It is a fitting way to honor Keith Evans, his family and the city of Obetz."
