The Crew will kick off its 12th Major League Soccer season at home on Saturday, April 7, 2007, vs. the Eastern Conference-rival New York Red Bulls. SCHMID-LED GENERATION ADIDAS EURO TOUR CONTINUES; KAMARA SCORES

Crew Head Coach Sigi Schmid, along with goalkeeper Will Hesmer, forward Kei Kamara and defender Tim Ward, have been in England since Saturday (Dec. 2) on the nine-day Generation adidas Euro Tour. Schmid is coaching the 20-man squad representing MLS and the Generation adidas program, which posted a 2-1 record on the tour which continues through Sunday (Dec. 10). In its three matches, Generation adidas defeated the Queens Park Rangers reserves, 2-0, on Monday, fell to the Crystal Palace reserves, 1-0, on Tuesday and blanked the Watford reserves, 3-0, on Thursday. Crew forward Kei Kamara scored GA's second goal in the final game. The match tentatively scheduled for Friday against the Chelsea FC reserves will not be played as Chelsea could not field a complete reserve roster. In addition to the games and training at defending Premier League-champion Chelsea's academy, the group is also taking in a UEFA Champions League match and pair of Premier League games, including Liverpool vs. Fulham, which features former Crew stars Brian McBride and Simon Elliott.

Generation adidas, which was established prior to the 2005 season, is Major League Soccer's youth player development program, designed to identify and nurture the elite youth soccer talent in the United States. The youth players who join MLS as part of the Generation adidas program receive unprecedented opportunities to develop their game and hone their skills at the professional level in Major League Soccer. In addition to training and playing with one of Major League Soccer's 13 professional clubs, Generation adidas players also receive educational grants to further their college education.
