MLS teams prepare for First Kick

NEW YORK - With less than a month until the start of the 2008 regular season on March 29 and 30, the rosters of Major League Soccer's 14 teams are taking shape for First Kick. All 14 teams met League-mandated roster compliance rules on Monday evening. MLS will hold a waiver draft this afternoon at 3 p.m. ET.

MLS teams no longer hold the right of first refusal for any players the club has waived. If a player is not selected in the waiver draft, he may renegotiate a contract and sign with the team that is the first to submit a formal request for the player.

The Waiver Draft order and a complete list of players available in the waiver draft are included below. Teams may still make changes to their rosters, but from this point forward must remain compliant with the following rules:

• no more than 18 players on the Senior Roster
• no more than 10 players on the Developmental Roster
• team salary budget must be equal to or less than the cap set forth by the League
