Jimmy Conrad expands his already vast sphere of influence tomorrow when Major League Soccer launches a new Internet feature called MLS Radio. The show will air live on MLSnet.com, the official Web site of Major League Soccer, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. ET and will highlight all of the MLS Cup Playoff action and major news around the league. Conrad, a defender for the Kansas City Wizards and an internationally renowned internet columnist, will be joined by television personality Sean Wheelock as co-host.
The 60-minute radio show will air weekly until the week of MLS Cup, when it will take place daily from Tuesday November 7 to Sunday November 12 from Frisco, Texas, site of Pizza Hut Park and MLS Cup 2006. The show will feature guest appearances, incoming phone calls, instant messages and e-mails from fans, as well as expert opinions and commentary. All shows will be available on-demand as well as via podcasts.
Conrad, the 2005 MLS Defender of the Year, is a stalwart on the backline for the Kansas City Wizards and was a prominent figure on the U.S. Men's National Team this past summer in Germany at the FIFA World Cup. Conrad is also known for his witty soccer column at ESPN.com, Conrad's Corner. The outgoing Conrad will call upon his fellow MLS players regularly to join him as guests on the program. Soccer fans can also look forward to Conrad's quirky viewpoint on all aspects of the sport of soccer.

Co-host Sean Wheelock, an accomplished announcer for Fox Soccer Channel and the voice of the Kansas City Wizards, has served as the host of "MLS Wrap" on Fox Soccer Channel, "MLS ExtraTime" on ESPN2, and many other soccer programs. His television and radio soccer play-by-play experience also includes numerous MLS matches for ESPN/ESPN2 and Fox Soccer Channel, World Cup Qualifiers, US Open Cup, French League 1, Dutch Eredivise, USL, and NCAA Men's and Women's college soccer. Wheelock also has extensive radio experience, having worked as a commentator for both XM Satellite Radio and the British Broadcasting Corporation.
