D.C. United 0, Odense BK 1

A late goal from Costa Rican international Christian Bolaños proved to be the only goal of the game as D.C. United lost to Danish Tippeligaen side Odense BK at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

In the 80th minute, Bolaños put the Danish side up after he pounced upon a loose ball in the goal area. The midfielder fought through a crowd of players to tuck the ball in the back of the net as United lost for the second time in four exhibitions, also falling 2-0 to the U.S. under-23 national team. The Black-and-Red defeated the U.S. U-17 national team 6-0 in their preseason opener while playing to a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC.

As has been the case during the team's time in Bradenton, United head coach Tom Soehn ran out two different teams in each half.

D.C. United: Zach Wells (Jose Carvallo 45); Devon McTavish (Brandon Owens 45), Gonzalo Martinez (Jeff Carroll 45), Gonzalo Peralta (Pat Carroll 45), Marc Burch (Grady Renfrow 45); Justin Moose (Jamil Walker 45), Clyde Simms (Dan Stratford 45), Marcelo Gallardo (Ardalan Attar 45), Fred (Ryan Cordeiro 45); Jaime Moreno (Jerson Monteiro 45), Luciano Emilio (Franco Niell 45).
