Mid-week update: Series closer

CARSON, Calif. - The LA Galaxy will wrap up the 2007 World Series of Football presented by Samsung in association with adidas when they host Chelsea FC live on ESPN this Saturday, July 21 in a sold out doubleheader at The Home Depot Center. The Galaxy lost their opener in the tournament, falling 3-0 to Tigres UANL, on Tuesday night, but can still win the competition. If Suwon defeats Tigres earlier in the day and LA knocks off Chelsea, all four teams will finish with three points. If this happens, the first tiebreaker is goal differential, followed by goals scored and goals allowed with a coin flip being the final deciding factor if teams remain tied.

Following the World Series of Football, the Galaxy will shift their focus to the inaugural SuperLiga, which will see the Galaxy host on Mexican clubs Pachuca and CD Guadalajara on July 24 and July 28 respectively, before traveling to Dallas for the final game of group play at Pizza Hut Park on July 31.
