Mendoza looks forward to future

Francisco Mendoza has been a valuable scoring asset for Chivas USA.

This year, Mendoza will have the opportunity to play in what could be the deepest Chivas USA squad in their four-year history. Joining Mendoza in the midfield line is Raphael Wicky, a former Swiss international and veteran of the Spanish and German leagues, as well as former MLS Cup MVP Alecko Eskandarian.


"We got a lot of good reinforcements and it's going to make the competition for spots that much more competitive. I think that's a good thing for the team," Mendoza said. "It's going to help us with our main objective, which is to win the championship."
