Meet Blanco Monday night at Toyota Park

Mexican soccer icon Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravo (pronounced: quaw-TEH-mok), renowned striker for Club América of the Mexican First Division, will be in Chicago Monday evening to meet fans of both the acclaimed forward and his new club, the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.


Blanco will be introduced to Chicago Fire fans at a special presentation at TOYOTA PARK beginning at 7:00 p.m. CT, with Fire players Chris Armas and Diego Gutierrez on hand to welcome the team's star acquisition. Admission and parking are free, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. and parking in the east lot (enter through S2 entrance) opening at 5 p.m. CT.


The Chicago Fire opens its 2007 MLS regular season on April 7, 2007 (7:30 p.m. CT; Comcast SportsNet) vs. the New England Revolution at TOYOTA PARK.
