CARSON, CA - The Los Angeles Galaxy today announced the details for four of the club's preseason matches. The club opened its preseason camp on Monday, Feb. 5 at The Home Depot Center and will train there for the first two weeks of February before departing for Bermuda on Monday, Feb. 19.
While in Bermuda, the Galaxy will play a pair of contests, first against the New England Revolution on Thursday, Feb. 22 in a rematch of the 2002 and 2005 MLS Cup. This game will be played at 3:30 p.m. (PT) in the National Sports Centre in the capital city of Hamilton. One day later, on Friday, Feb. 23, Frank Yallop's squad will take on a Bermuda All-Star Select team.
The Galaxy will return to Southern California on Sunday, Feb 25 and have scheduled a pair of local preseason games in preparation of the team's 2007 season opener against the Houston Dynamo on Sunday, April 8. On Saturday, March 10, the Galaxy will travel to Fresno to take on the Fresno Fuego of the Premier Development League. Eight days later, on Sunday, March 18, the Galaxy will take on the Columbus Crew at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. This match will kick-off at 5 p.m. with all proceeds benefiting The Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children's Cancer.
