Longtime sportscaster joins Dynamo staff

HOUSTON, TX - The Houston Dynamo is pleased to announce the addition of Steve Mark as the team's newly-created position of Director of Public Relations. Mark will also become the Dynamo's first radio play-by-play voice (details of the extensive team broadcast package to be released later).

Mark has been a television sportscaster in Houston since 1984 at KPRC, KRIV and KHOU, and has received numerous honors for his local coverage, including his coverage of the 1996 Olympics. Mark has also covered multiple levels of professional soccer, beginning with his work with the Tulsa Roughnecks of the North American Soccer League. Steve is also an active supporter of youth soccer in the region.

"We're delighted to have such a star of the Houston sports scene," said Dynamo President/General Manager Oliver Luck.

Mark will work in tandem with Lester Gretsch, the Dynamo's Director of Communications. Steve begins his roles with the defending MLS champs immediately.
