CARSON, Calif. - The Los Angeles Galaxy, Galaxy Foundation and several Southland individuals, businesses and community organizations have collaborated to make the Saturday, June 23, 2007 "Kids Night Out" - a special night of Galaxy soccer for underprivileged children and families - at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University - Dominguez Hills in Carson, California.
"We look forward to providing a fun experience to so many children and families, who might not otherwise have the opportunity to come to a game, and are proud of those who have joined us in this truly worthwhile endeavor," said Los Angeles Galaxy President and General Manager Alexi Lalas, also President of the Galaxy Foundation.
Through the "Kids Night Out" program, the Galaxy called upon the individuals, businesses and civic organizations in Southern California and across the country to purchase group tickets for this Saturday's game against the Columbus Crew. The purchased tickets were then donated to several local youth organizations and charities.
