LA Galaxy and Pachuca to face off in first-ever SuperLiga final on Aug. 29

NEW YORK - The Los Angeles Galaxy defeated D.C. United 2-0 and advanced to the inaugural SuperLiga final, where it will face Mexico's current league champion Pachuca. The million-dollar title match will be played on Wednesday, August 29 at The Home Depot Center at 10pm ET (TV: Telefutura).

Pachuca defeated the Houston Dynamo on Aug. 14 in the first SuperLiga semifinal on penalty kicks. On Aug. 15, the Galaxy defeated D.C. United 2-0, including David Beckham's first goal with the LA Galaxy from a free kick. Beckham assisted the second goal, scored by Landon Donovan.
