The Los Angeles Galaxy are looking for a different result when they take on Sydney FC for the second time in three months in the Pan-Pacific Championship third-place playoff on Saturday.

The two sides met in Australia in November, with Sydney FC emerging as 5-3 winners.

Both teams are, of course, coming off semifinal losses -- Sydney FC going down 3-0 to Houston Dynamo, while the Galaxy lost 1-0 to Gamba Osaka. All four goals in the semifinals were scored in the first half.

"I was pleased with how we played in the first game after the first 15 minutes," said Galaxy head coach Ruud Gullit. "Of course we can't win the tournament now but I want us to finish our time in Hawaii on a good note."

Gullit's team will again play in the earlier game, with their showdown with Sydney FC starting at 6 p.m. Hawaii time.

Sydney coach John Kosmina is looking for improvement following his team's defeat on Wednesday, which came a couple of weeks after their elimination from the A-League Finals Series.

"It has been difficult for our guys because we are winding down after our season," said Kosmina. "But the Galaxy game will be good experience for our guys and hopefully we can come away with a good result."
