Koller set to spurn Fulham for Nurnberg

Jan Koller

MONTE CARLO - Monaco coach Ricardo expects striker Jan Koller to complete his move from the principality club to Nurnberg over the next few days.

The Czech Republic international is believed to have been offered a three-year deal by the German side, and Ricardo envisages the transfer being tied up within the week.

"The departure of Koller is going to be sorted this week or next week," said the Brazilian in Ouest-France.

"Offering a three-year contract to Jan, as Nurnberg have done, wasn't the best solution for us.

"Even if we are losing out with him leaving, I couldn't make him stay with that offer in front of him."

New Fulham boss Roy Hodgson had been linked with a move for the Czech Republic international, but Koller's agent Pavel Paska insisted that would not happen.

"England is ruled out," said Paska. "He will go to Germany or he will stay in Monaco."
