Kinnear with pulse on next generation

No time to waste for Dynamo coach Dominic Kinnear. Kinnear followed the Dynamo MLS Cup celebration with a trip to Spain, to coach the Generation adidas team comprised of Dynamo defender Patrick Ianni and MLS stars including Brad Guzan, Marvell Wynne and Hunter Freeman. "It was nice getting to know all the players on this trip," said Kinnear. "A nice group of young men who were very professional."

Of the two games in Spain, the Gen-A team beat Rayo Vallecano's reserve team 1-0 and tied Real Madrid reserves 0-0. The Real Madrid team was a full reserve team that plays in the Spanish second division.

After the two-game stint, a number of players, including Ianni, joined the United States under-23 team preparing to face teams in China.

Aside from the honor of coaching rising MLS stars, Kinnear had a few personal highlights of his trip to Spain, including the chance to watch Seville play Arsenal ("A great game and great atmosphere," said Kinnear) and the opportunity to tour Real Madrid's Benabeau Stadium. "Madrid is a beautiful city," said Kinnear.

Accompanying Kinnear on the trip were Dynamo assistant coach John Spencer and trainer Bruce Morgan.
