The Kansas City Wizards Reserve team played Tuesday in an exhibition against USL-1 side Minnesota Thunder in front of a lively crowd at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota. Over 7,000 watched the Wizards display the high-scoring flair that has made them one of the most entertaining MLS clubs this season.

"I think that our team played extremely well tonight," Reserves Head Coach Kris Kelderman said. "We controlled most of the game, but that didn't change the great atmosphere here in Minnesota. There were a ton of fans, especially kids, here tonight and they got to see a very well played soccer match."

The three Wizards players who scored goals have been significant members of the first team this season. Second-year forward Yura Movsisyan, who scored in the 4th and 18th minutes, has been Kansas City's super sub so far in 2007, scoring 4 goals off the bench and appearing in 13 first-team games.

Third-year forward/midfielder Ryan Pore, scoring in the 30th and 44th minutes, has also played an important role in the first team. He has made 10 appearances (3 starts) and created numerous opportunities around the goal when called upon to play.

Rookie midfielder Kurt Morsink, who scored the Wizards final goal in the 52nd minute, has been a key late sub for the Wizards this year. He has 10 appearances (two starts) in his first MLS season.

The KCW Reserves (3-2-1 in MLS Reserve Division play) now move to 3-0-1 in exhibitions this season. Kansas City has beaten Minnesota (USL-1), the Kansas City Brass (PDL), the Springfield Demize (PDL) and tied the Seattle Sounders (USL-1) this season. Kansas City's Reserves next play Monday, July 23 in MLS Reserve Division play against the Colorado Rapids.
