Kansas City Wizards announce 2007 senior roster

The Kansas City Wizards further solidified their 2007 roster Thursday, the day all Major League Soccer clubs were required to turn in their senior rosters.

Three rookies, defender Michael Harrington, midfielder Kurt Morsink and midfielder/defender Aaron Hohlbein made the senior roster. Including developmental players, eight players drafted in this year's MLS SuperDraft and Supplemental Draft made the squad.

Goalkeeper Kevin Hartman was the only veteran added to the team who was not on either the senior or developmental rosters in 2006. Kansas City Wizards Head Coach Curt Onalfo is pleased with the squad that will compete in his debut season as a MLS coach.

"When (Technical Director) Peter Vermes and I took over the leadership on the technical side of the organization, we identified the areas we wanted to improve," Kansas City Wizards Head Coach Curt Onalfo said. "I think we tackled those issues during the off-season and I'm comfortable with the roster as it stands now. I'm optimistic we will have a successful 2007 season."

One roster spot remains available. Players already in camp and future invitees will vie for the last developmental position. Both the 2007 alphabetical and numerical rosters are attached.
