The Los Angeles Galaxy were out in the community this week, as midfielder Paulo Nagamura and Cobi Jones made two separate appearances in the L.A. area, courtesy of Galaxy sponsor Gold-N-Soft margarine.

On Sept. 13, Nagamura visited El Super foot store in Santa Ana. As lines of fans formed quickly to get his autograph, Nagamura signed for store shoppers and took photos with a number of children.

Galaxy legend and former U.S. National Team star Jones appeared at Gigante food store in South Central Los Angeles on Sept. 14, courtesy of Gold-N-Soft. Customers flocked to Jones' table to shake his hand and receive an autograph. Galaxy season ticket holders and local area residents all poured into the store eager to take a picture with the MLS original.

As Jones was meeting fans, Tiffany Merrill, shopping at Gigante with her daughter Makala, recognized the star. But Merrill didn't just recognize the Galaxy's dreadlocked midfielder from his exploits on the field. Merrill was a former student of Jones' dad, who is a high school science teacher.
