HOUSTON, TX - Just when you thought the Houston Dynamo could not go any higher, the team has set a new standard for reaching new heights by taking its name into space.
In a mission that departs today from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, aboard Space Shuttle Discovery, Astronaut Joan Higginbotham will take with her a Houston Dynamo scarf, in order to support the "Men in Orange", and commemorate the team's recent MLS Cup victory.
Higgingbotham and 6 other crewmembers of the Discovery will be in space through Tuesday, December 19, on mission to the International Space Station.
