Houston Dynamo to face off against Club Pachuca in CONCACAF Champions' Cup semifinal series

COLLEGE STATION, TX - After beating Puntarenas FC in College Station tonight, by a score of 2-0, the Dynamo now brace for their next challenge: facing Mexico's Club Pachuca in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Champions' Cup.


After losing the away leg 1-0 in Puntarenas, the Men in Orange recovered soon enough at the Aggie Soccer Complex, with goals by Paul Dalglish and Kelly Gray at the 27th and 74th minute, respectively. With tonight's win, Houston moves on to the next round by an aggregate score of 2-1.


Club Pachuca, on the other hand, managed to secure a comfortable 2-0 advantage against Marquense at Hidalgo Stadium. Playing in San Marcos, Guatemala Wednesday, Pachuca finished punching their tickets to the next round with a 1-0 win.


The Houston Dynamo will be responsible for hosting the first leg of this home-and-away series. It will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at Robertson Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. CT. The away leg of this series will be played on Thursday, April 5, at 8:35 CT at Hidalgo Stadium in Pachuca, Mexico.
