GWSA supports "Kicks for Kids" Program

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Greater Washington Sports Alliance is proud to announce its support of charitable partner, United for D.C. and its "Kicks for Kids" program which introduces area youth to the exciting sport of soccer. This program invites 250 youth in the Greater Washington area to attend the championship game of the MLS Cup on Sunday, November 18, 2007, at RFK Stadium.


"It is exciting to give kids who may not have been able to go to regular season games the opportunity to see world class athletes perform in a championship match," says United for D.C. Program Manager Sara Peterson. "It's wonderful to give such a treat to deserving local youth organizations in our area - or even better - encourage a large group of future fans!"


"The MLS Cup is always an exciting event, and we are thrilled that RFK Stadium has been selected to host the championship match for the third time in 12 years," Robert Sweeney, President of the Greater Washington Sports Alliance adds. "The 2007 MLS Cup is sure to be an outstanding match at historic RFK, and we are pleased to help provide such a motivating memory to so many area youth."
