Galaxy midfielder Kevin Harmse out 3-6 weeks

CARSON, Calif. - The Los Angeles Galaxy will be without midfielder Kevin Harmse for the next 3-6 weeks after he suffered a left knee sprain in training on Sunday. The Canadian international returned to the Galaxy lineup in the 3-2 loss to Columbus on June 23 after missing three games while representing Canada at the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Harmse, who will turn 23 on Wednesday, was originally signed by the Galaxy on April 12 after spending time with Tromsø Idrettslag of the Norwegian Tippeligaen, FC Nitra of Slovakia's Corgon Liga and the Vancouver Whitecaps of the USL First Division. He has scored one goal in six appearances in the heart of the Galaxy midfield this season and leads the team in yellow cards with three.

The Galaxy are back in action on Wednesday, July 4 night when they take on the Chicago Fire at The Home Depot Center at 7:30 p.m. This match will be followed by the Galaxy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, powered by KBIG 104.3 and tickets are on sale now.
