Galaxy kick off camp in Redondo Beach

The Galaxy Summer Soccer Camp in Redondo Beach got off to a great start Monday.

The Los Angeles Galaxy continued their Galaxy Summer Soccer Camps this week, putting on a camp at Julia Field in Redondo Beach. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT all week, ending on Friday.

On Monday, the first day of camp, Galaxy president and general manager Alexi Lalas was at the camp working with the players on team building and also participating in soccer games with the campers. Lalas signed autographs and posed for photos with every camper.

The Galaxy Summer Soccer Camps are an unbelievable experience for children ages 7-15 and include five days of training that teach technical and tactical skills straight from the Galaxy practice sessions. Campers can experience first-hand what a typical workout sessions is like for a professional soccer player and learn how to play the Galaxy way.

All campers who register for Galaxy Summer Soccer Camps receive a Galaxy soccer ball, camp t-shirt, a personalized picture with a Galaxy player, a camp certificate and two tickets to a Galaxy home game.
