Galaxy host pregame performance with Kinky

CARSON, Calif. - The Los Angeles Galaxy are proud to present a pregame concert with Kinky on Saturday, June 2, at 6 p.m. before the Galaxy match against D.C. United at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University - Dominguez Hills. The concert is free to fans holding tickets to the Galaxy-United match.

"It's pretty simple; The Galaxy rocks on the field and Kinky rocks on the stage! It's going to be an entertaining night at the Home Depot Center," said Galaxy President and General Manager Alexi Lalas.

Kinky-the Monterrey, Mexico quintet whose Latin inspired music blends rock, dance and techno-released their third album, Reina (Nettwerk/Kin Kon), last summer, solidifying them as one of the most important Latin bands not only in the Spanish speaking world, but as a key crossover group into the Anglo market. The band recently opened the 2006 MTV Latin Video Music Awards in Mexico City and has toured with the likes of Shakira, Los Lonely Boys, Café Tacuba, The Flaming Lips, Cake, De La Soul and more.

Kinky's pregame performance will include songs from Reina and their past two albums, along with the newly recorded tracks "Solo Un Paso" and a cover of Wall of Voodoo's "Mexican Radio."
