Galaxy hold seven picks in 2008 SuperDraft

The LA Galaxy currently hold seven picks in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft, which will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore on Friday, January 18. The Galaxy's seven picks ties them with FC Dallas for the most selections in the draft which consists of four rounds of 14 picks, for a total of 56 picks in this year's draft.


The SuperDraft will begin at 11 a.m. (PT) on Friday, with ESPN2 televising the first hour. In addition to ESPN2's live coverage, fans will also be able watch live streaming video of the proceedings all the way through to the final selection at www.mlsnet.com.


The Galaxy's seven picks are spread over all four rounds of the SuperDraft, with one selection coming in the first round (4th overall) and two more in each of the final three rounds. The Galaxy's seven picks are ...

The Galaxy will begin their preseason training, their first under new head coach Ruud Gullit, early next month at The Home Depot Center before opening their 13th season of play on Saturday, March 29 against the Colorado Rapids at 6:30 p.m. (PT) at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. LA will play their home opener five days later on Thursday, April 2 when they host former head coach Frank Yallop and the San Jose Earthquakes at 7:30 p.m. at The Home Depot Center.
