CARSON, Calif. - The LA Galaxy will play four postseason friendlies in four different countries in the next two months, the club announced today. The Galaxy will take on USL First Division sides Vancouver Whitecaps and Minnesota Thunder in early November before departing for Australia and New Zealand for a pair of games against Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix FC of the Hyundai A-League at the end of the month.
Following the end of the Galaxy's MLS campaign in Chicago on Sunday, the Galaxy will take some time off before returning to game action against the Vancouver Whitecaps. That game will be played on Wednesday, November 7 at the 60,000 seat BC Place Stadium in downtown Vancouver. Four days later, on Sunday, November 11, the club will be in Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Thunder in the Copa Minnesota at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome.
Following the game against the Thunder, the Galaxy players will have two weeks off before they depart for Australia on Friday, November 23. In Australia, LA will take on Sydney FC in the Hyundai Club Challenge on Tuesday, November 27 at Telstra Stadium in Sydney before heading to New Zealand a few days later to face the Wellington Phoenix FC on Saturday, December 1 at Westpac Stadium in the New Zealand capital.
The Galaxy will return to the U.S. two days later on December 3 to officially begin the team's off-season.
