Galaxy announce new multi-year deal for Galaxy Deportivo to air on Telemundo 52 and KWHY-22

CARSON, Calif. - The LA Galaxy have reached a multi-year agreement with Telemundo-52 and sister station KWHY - Channel 22 to serve as the official Spanish language television homes of the Galaxy. Under the agreement, both stations will air Galaxy Deportivo, the club's official weekly, half-hour show, which gives Galaxy fans a behind-the-scenes peek into the lives of their favorite Galaxy players, while also providing up-to-date team news and features. The agreement also involves a marketing partnership that will offer both the Galaxy and the two stations a variety of added cross-promotional opportunities to extend their reach to a broader audience through various marketing platforms.

Fans can catch Galaxy Deportivo every Saturday night on KWHY-22 at 6 p.m. and again on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. on Telemundo-52. For the third straight year, Alejandro Navarro and Elmer Polanco will serve as hosts for the show, giving viewers an unprecedented level of access and insight to the 2008 Galaxy squad.

KWHY will also air the Galaxy's friendly against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Tuesday, May 13 live from Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Galaxy Deportivo hosts Alejandro Navarro and Elmer Polanco will have the call of the game beginning at 6 p.m. In November 2007, KWHY also broadcasted the Galaxy's 0-0 draw with the Whitecaps that was played in front of 48,172 fans at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.
