Galaxy 2, Wizards 2 -- quote sheet

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS 2, LOS ANGELES GALAXY 2

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH BOB GANSLER

On the game:
"It was just one more time that we indicated to ourselves that we are capable. It is a 90-minute game and we need to take the second 45 minutes and take it into the next game. We had our shot in the first half. The psychological effect of not getting that breakaway in the fourth minute and the shot off the post that came back out, we have to overcome those kinds of things and keep going forward with urgency."

On whether he was scoreboard watching:
"I wasn't watching the scoreboard; I had no idea what was going on. This is what you can take care of right here. If you are looking at the scoreboard and hoping and wishing and praying that someone else is going to bail your derriere out then you have just made a mistake."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS FORWARD JOSH WOLFF

On the game:
"It's a little mixed emotions that you put yourself behind 2-0. I think early in the first half we did pretty well, we weren't really out of sorts. Then they got two goals off two set pieces that we weren't able to deal with the proper way. We were disappointed to go in at halftime down two goals, but it is a testament of our team that we were able to grind it out during the last 10 minutes and get two goals. We said once we get the first one, it would rattle them a bit and if we kept at it we would get the second one. Tonight we were able to dig in and get a point."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY HEAD COACH STEVE SAMPSON

On the game:
"I think when Preki came on, it added some life to the Wizards. He is a very special player and continues to be a very special player. You could see the Wizards were trying to get him the ball as much as possible. He just causes so many problems for defenses. Tyrone Marshall leaving the game was a big loss for us because he was holding the middle of the defense quite well. All said and done, it was a just result. Kansas City had some very very good chances at the beginning of the game and we had a header from Joseph Ngwenya that Bo (Oshoniyi) made a great save on. I think it was a just result."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY DEFENDER CHRIS ALBRIGHT

On the game:
"I think we both had some chances that we were both unlucky on. (Jose) Burciaga (Jr.) hit the bar and Bo Oshoniyi made a good save on Joseph (Ngwenya) on a cross. We were able to strike first and once you ge tup on the road is builds your confidence. We got two goals off dead balls, which is something we have been stressing all year."

On giving up the lead late and settling for a tie:
"We experimented with the lineup a little bit. We got some of our older guys in there at the end with experience to kill the game off and thought we could come out with three points. At the same time coming in here, we normally don't get any points, so getting a point here at this stage is OK. The way the game was, it was disappointing, but we will take it."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY GOALKEEPER STEVE CRONIN

On his first MLS start:
"It was a new experience for me, but overall it was a good one. Obviously I feel bad about the result. I thought our team deserved the win, but they were in the right spot at the right time. Overall it was an OK performance on our end."

On if he was nervous:
"I felt good coming into the game. The first five minutes I was a little nervous. When that first shot cracked off the post, I was hoping that was as close as they would get. I was definitely ready for this game and I'll be ready for the next one."
