Galaxy 0, United 0 -- quote sheet

LOS ANGELES GALAXY 0, D.C. UNITED 0

LOS ANGELES GALAXY HEAD COACH FRANK YALLOP

On the result:
"A clean sheet is always good and it is something that you can build on. But at the same time, it's disappointing not to be able to score at home, especially when we created enough chances to score."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY DEFENDER TY HARDEN

On playing at fullback:
"Actually, it was fun. I haven't played outside back in a long time. It's a little bit of a different feel. You get the ball a little bit more, you get to attack a little bit. I enjoyed it."

On his versatility:
"I do think it showed a little bit of my versatility, which is why I think the coaches liked me so much, and why I ended up here. Just going up against all those different styles, you just have to concentrate on who you're marking at the time."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY DEFENDER KYLE VERIS

On his return to the starting XI:
"I just tried to focus on what we worked on this whole week, which was squeezing up, squeezing the line and getting pressure early. Just talking, trying to communicate and do my job."

On the different defensive combinations the team used tonight:
"The main thing that we worked on was talking between ourselves - as long as we communicate whatever is thrown at us, it'll make it easier, so we just made sure that we communicated and tried to keep the game in front of us."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY DEFENDER TYRONE MARSHALL

On keeping a clean sheet:
"Yes, very happy. Defensively this week I thought we put in a good effort in training, and it showed tonight. It was just unfortunate that we didn't get the result we want, which is three points, especially being at home."

On the result:
"I thought we had some good opportunities in the first half. We had one over the back post, but it kind of skied over the goal. Also in the second half, Landon had a couple of breakaways, clear chances, but the 'keeper did well, came out, cut his angle off. It's just one of those things. The ball didn't go in the net tonight. We need that kind of luck, and it just didn't happen tonight."

D.C. UNITED HEAD COACH TOM SOEHN

On the team's performance:
"The first half was not very good. We came out flat, and gave away the ball. We talked about what our objectives were and the key that we talked about was to be in good possession."

On changes in his formation:
"Our formation wasn't cutting it, so we moved it around to something that I thought we would be more comfortable with. I think then we got better, but still it wasn't doing it."

On getting a point on the road:
"You always want to get a point on the road, but expect more. I felt like we left some soccer out there, and that's disappointing. In the second half, I felt like there were good opportunities to take it to them. We didn't create the quality chances we wanted."

D.C. UNITED GOALKEEPER TROY PERKINS

On the team's performance:
"The guys were a little lost. We've not putting the passes together or keeping the ball, moving off the ball. There were times that one of our central midfield guys had the ball, and there was no one. I think it was better the second half, but we just came out flat. We got to do better. We got a point on the road, and in this league you need a point on the road and wins at home, and that's it."

D.C. UNITED FORWARD JAIME MORENO

On the team's performance:
"First off, we didn't do a really good job kicking the ball, and creating opportunities for everyone. But, at the end of the day a point is a point, and we were trying to maintain that clean sheet."
