Forward Carlos Pavon officially added to Galaxy roster

CARSON, Calif. - The Los Angeles Galaxy will have their latest signing, forward Carlos Pavon, available for selection on Wednesday, July 4 when the club faces the Chicago Fire after he received his P1 Visa on Friday. The Honduran international has been training with the club since he was signed by the Galaxy on June 20 and has now officially been added to the club's roster.


Pavon, who captained the Honduran National Team to the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup and led the tournament with five goals scored, is Honduras' all-time leading scorer with 47 goals scored during his 14-year international career. The 33-year old striker comes to Los Angeles after helping Real Club Deportivo España claim the 2007 Honduran League Clausura title, scoring 15 goals in 20 appearances while captaining the club.
