First annual RSL Bachelor Auction set for Wednesday, Aug. 1

SALT LAKE CITY - Real Salt Lake and Leo's Pride, the team's charitable outreach group, will host the first annual RSL Player Bachelor Auction at Salt Lake's guilty pleasure, Hotel Monaco, located at 15 West 200 South in Salt Lake City, next Wednesday, August 1, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. MT.


"We're very excited for this unique opportunity for Real Salt Lake to give back to the Utah community in a fun and classy way," said RSL Event Coordinator, Jessica Edstrom, "We hope that this event can show the people of Salt Lake City that there is more to these players than on field talent, that they are also an asset to this community."


The event kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with a VIP cocktail party. The VIP cocktail party will be limited to 50 guests and will allow the attendees the opportunity to meet and mingle with the RSL bachelors before the night's bidding begins. VIP tickets also include complimentary drinks and a gift bag.


General admission guests will be welcomed in at 7:00 p.m. to meet the players. Guests will then have the chance to bid on their favorite RSL bachelor, with the high bidder at the end of the evening earning a pre-planned group date, including activities such as an afternoon at Fat Cats and a Day at the Spa package. Family bids are welcome.


General admission tickets for the RSL Bachelor Auction are $40, while the VIP reception admission costs $100. Every ticket purchase to the Bachelor Auction also includes a VIP ticket to RSL's August 4 game at Rice-Eccles Stadium against the defending MLS Cup Champion Houston Dynamo. All funds raised on the evening will be donated to local charities and other charities designated by the Real Salt Lake bachelors. With a successful XanGo Cup 2007 in the rear-view mirror, Real Salt Lake representatives will again head out into the community for a handful of appearances prior to the team's return to League play this weekend against New England. Below is a full list of RSL appearances from July 25-29.

Where: Jerry Seiner Downtown Salt Lake GM Dealership; 1530 South 500 West in Salt Lake City
What: Newcomer MF Kyle Beckerman and DF Willis Forko will join Head Coach Jason Kreis this evening for this week's edition of the "Jerry Seiner RSL Coach's Show" on KALL-AM 700 "The Zone" . The radio voice of RSL, Bill Riley, will host the show on location at the Iceberg Café from 6:00-7:00 p.m. MT. Fans are encouraged to come down to Jerry Seiner's to grab a bite to eat and ask their questions to the RSL trio in person.
