The Chicago Fire announced today that the team's second leg of 2008 preseason training will be in Mexico from Feb. 24-March 12.
The Fire's first match-up in Mexico will be against Dorados de Sinaloa, runners-up in the 2007 Apertura season (Primera División A), on Wednesday, Feb. 27. The "Men in Red" will then depart Culiacán and head to west-central Aguascalientes, Mexico, home of Primera División side Necaxa. Chicago will take on the "Rayos" on Tuesday, March 4. The final preseason test in Mexico will be against San Luis of the Primera División in north-central Mexicali, Mexico on Tuesday, March 11. All dates/times of the Fire's preseason games in Mexico are subject to change.
Chicago is currently 3-0-1 in preseason exhibitions and will play its final game in Bradenton, Fla. on Wednesday, Feb. 20, when the club faces Toronto FC at 9:00 a.m. CT at the IMG Academies facility.
