Fire 2, Wizards 1 -- quote sheet

CHICAGO FIRE 2, KANSAS CITY WIZARDS 1

CHICAGO FIRE HEAD COACH DAVE SARACHAN

On the game:
"It was a great win tonight. From the front to the back, it was a really solid performance. It was a very soft penalty at the end. It should have been a zero. The 2-1 win at home was a pretty commanding performance."

On Rolfe and Barrett:
"These are good players. They're young. There will be ups and downs. It takes time to develop chemistry. They need confidence. Getting goals and assists will help them build their confidence."

On the team's record thus far:
"We're undefeated. You haven't seen our best soccer yet. The next three games will be hard games. Two out of three are on an artificial surface. They'll be tough. But we don't fear the road."

CHICAGO FIRE DEFENDER DASAN ROBINSON

On the game:
"As a team, we did pretty well. It's the third game of the season, so we're still learning. [The game] got a little chaotic for a little bit in the middle of the second half. All we need to do to work that out is to communicate, open our mouths and keep our head on a swivel. [Eddie Johnson] is tough. I don't think he's ever going to take a night off, so you always have to be ready and put up your best against him. That's what I tried to do tonight."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS HEAD COACH CURT ONALFO

On the game:
"Credit to Chicago, they have a very good game plan. They did a good job neutralizing the speed we have on our team. Their spacing throughout the game was very, very good. We had an opportunity early in the second half after starting very well to score and we didn't. When you're on the road you must put those chances away. We just fell short today. We decided to take some risks [with substitutions] in the second half and it didn't pay off this time. That's how it works sometimes."

KANSAS CITY WIZARRDS MIDFIELDER SASHA VICTORINE

On the match:
"I felt like we deserved a better result. I thought we had some possession at times and in the second half I thought we possessed the ball pretty well and had better play. Obviously, [the Fire] didn't give us a lot of chances and we didn't have a lot of opportunities. Once we did, the keeper made a couple of saves on those chances. I think the second goal, the penalty kick, was a tough one because at that point it makes it 2-0 with 20 minutes left and that one was for sure a tough one to come back from."

KANSAS CITY WIZARDS MIDFIELDER DAVY ARNAUD

On the team's extended road trip:
"It's going to be good to get back to Kansas City. We've been playing on the road, but at the same time we feel like we're a good enough team to go on the road and get points. So it's disappointing tonight, for sure."
