Fire 1, Celtic FC 1 -- quote sheet

CHICAGO FIRE 1, CELTIC FC 1

CHICAGO FIRE HEAD COACH JUAN CARLOS OSORIO

On the game:
"As I let my players know, I am very disappointed that we didn't win this game. I think that if we finished 25 percent of our chances we could and would have won the game by at least two goals difference. We'll continue working on our finishing. Hopefully, we'll improve that. There were good signs today. We had better possession. I think in general we defended quite well, but we'll continue improving the team. There's only one way to do it, and it's work and to work on the training pitch. That's what we're going to do."

On the play of Cuauhtemoc Blanco:
"As I expected and as I said [at Friday's] press conference, [Blanco] brings something special to the team, and that's his vision and his creativity. If you look back and analyze the game, you'll notice that he was in on 75 percent of the times that we got on the attacking third. It was through him that we created the better chances and to put the icing on the cake, he scored a beautiful goal. Hopefully, he will get fitter and fitter, and we'll get more of him in the games to come."

CHICAGO FIRE FORWARD CUAUHTEMOC BLANCO

On whether he expected to score:
"I always try to score. I had an opportunity to score. The truth is I am very happy I was able to score."

On today's expectations:
"The objective of today's game was not met, as we did not win. But I think little by little we will keep playing better and better and turn these results into victories."

On whether he was nervous in his debut:
"No, I wasn't nervous. If I felt nervous, I would never be able to play in a game like a World Cup game. But little by little I will start playing better and things will go well."

On his thoughts on the Fire fans:
"They're good, I was happy. I hope to give them more satisfaction in the upcoming games."

On whether he thinks with his creativity he can help the team make the playoffs:
"Yes, we have a good team. It's our goal to start playing better and get to the playoffs."
