FCD's Mina out 4-6 weeks wth injury

FC Dallas announced today that an MRI conducted on forward Roberto Mina revealed that he has a torn medial meniscus in his left knee. The 21 year-old will have surgery next week and will be out of action from 4-6 weeks. Mina is one of only four players to play in all 16 games this season, having scored three goals.

In addition to Mina, midfielder Mark Wilson has tendonitis in his left Achilles tendon which will cause him to miss Saturday's game versus the New York Red Bulls at Pizza Hut Park. Rookie midfielder Dax McCarty, who made his MLS debut last weekend against Chivas USA, has a right groin strain and is also unavailable for the game against New York. McCarty was scheduled to join teammate Blake Wagner on the U.S. U-20 team in Canada this week but was forced to miss the camp due to the injury.

Midfielder Ramon Nunez, who had right quadriceps strain that kept him out of the last three games, has been upgraded from out to doubtful. Goalkeeper Jeff Cassar is also doubtful with a right quadriceps tear.

Goalkeeper Dario Sala, defender Greg Vanney, and midfielder Simo Valakari are the other players who have played in all 16 games this year. Wilson has played in 12 of the 16 games, scoring a game-winning goal in April against Real Salt Lake.
