FC Dallas recalls Burse, signs Wadsworth

FC Dallas has announced that goalkeeper Ray Burse has been recalled from the Portland Timbers (USL-1) to remain with FC Dallas for the remainder of the season. The team today also announced the signing of forward and Dallas native Spencer Wadsworth.

Burse had been loaned to Portland in March, though had been recalled by FCD for seven games, starting two and serving as Dario Sala's backup for five other regular season matches.

With Portland, Burse made 13 appearances, compiling a record of 5-3-5 and registering seven shutouts while surrendering nine goals.

Wadsworth was selected by the New England Revolution in the 4th Round of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft (55th overall) after playing four years at Duke University. In his Duke career, Wadsworth played in 86 games, scoring 25 goals and adding 34 assists.

Prior to attending Duke, Wadsworth attended Plano West Senior High and played club soccer for the Dallas Texans. In his senior season in high school, he was named to the McDonald's All-American team after scoring 14 goals and registering 17 assists.
